The Mapusa Police have registered an offence against three accused persons under section 419, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471, 420 read with 34 IPC and has placed Esteven D’Souza, Rosa Maria D’Souza E Gomes under arrest. The land grabbing came to light after a written complaint of Fleur Butler Freitas from Guirim that the accused persons Maria Rosa D’Souza e Gomes, Antonio Gomes and Esteven D’Souza all from Goa Velha with their dishonestly prepared forged documents i.e. deed of sale and Affidavit-cum-No Objection by impersonating the lawful owners of landed property surveyed under survey No. Accused namely Esteven D’Souza is presently in Police custody, Rosa Maria has been granted bail and the third accused in the case has expired.
