Herald: Goa’s positivity rate third highest in the country


If the positivity rate, i.e. the number of confirmed COVID cases per 100 tests, is above 5% measured over a 14-day period, the State is considered to be in the red zone. Goa’s positivity rate in the previous 14-day period, i.e. However, Central norms indicate that a high positivity rate means the State is not doing enough of screening tests other than that of the sickest or enough of contact tracing and isolation of patients. Further, as per Monday’s health bulletin of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Goa, Goa has the highest number of cases per million that is higher than the national average.
