12 May 2021| 06:29am ISTDaily cases, deaths rise againTeam HeraldPANJIM: On Tuesday 3,124 new COVID positive cases were reported by Directorate of Health Services from 8,505 samples tested. Four of the remaining seven deaths took place on May 9, while two took place on May 8, one on May 7 and one on May 1. Nevertheless, 68 is the highest single-day spike of COVID deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 1,804. On Tuesday, the total number of active cases has risen to 32,836.
