30 Jan 2023| 06:31am ISTCleaning Colva creek must be local MLA’s top prioritySouth Goa’s prominent touristic destination i.e. Colva has the longest beach in Goa, but at the same time probably the filthiest and disgusting creek in all of Goa. This filth goes back a long time, to previous government’s and previous MLAs (most were in the ruling party then), who not only failed miserably to clean it, but also did nothing to address the root cause i.e. the dumping of sewage, garbage etc by various establishments particularly, the commercial ones. Nevertheless, the fault also lies with the people of Colva for voting in illiterate, incompetent, corrupt MLAs (some repeatedly) and not holding these elected representatives accountable.
