According to the police, the incident occurred at around 5 pm on Sunday at a training centre for children with disabilities in Old Goa. In a letter to the State’s Child Welfare Committee, Fr Rosario Walter D’Souza, who represents the missionary-run centre, stated that the child fell into the bathtub filled with hot water when the warden had gone to fetch more water. An inquiry under the supervision of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) will be conducted into the incident as it is related to a minor. Meanwhile, the inquest panchanama and the post-mortem were conducted under the supervision of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) on Tuesday.
