10 Jan 2024| 06:46am ISTCash-strapped Mormugao civic body plans to implement ‘Pay Parking’Team HeraldVASCO: The cash-strapped Mormugao Municipal Council is contemplating to implement ‘Pay Parking’ system in the port town to generate revenue. Mormugao chairperson Girish Borker along with officials of PWD, RTO and Mormugao Traffic PI Shailesh Narvekar on Tuesday carried out a joint inspection of major roads in order to implement the ‘Pay Parking’. The municipal council has now decided to make all these things straight and start ‘Pay Parking’ system. “If pay parking can be successful in Margao and Panjim, why not in Mormugao?” he asked. The Pay parking system may be started by the end of this month, he hinted.
