The protest was held near the old Secretariat, here and at the old bus stand, Margao. The aim was to send a strong message against the spiralling rise of petrol and cooking gas prices. At the rally, people imitating themselves as Chief Minister Pramod Sawant offered cake to Goans filling petrol to ‘celebrate’ his century. Addressing the media persons during the protest, AAP Convenor Rahul Mhambre said, “Never before have the Goans seen such an increase in petrol price which has hit Rs 100 per litre and cooking gas which touched Rs 900.
