09 Oct 2022| 06:16am ISTApp-based taxi service by GoaMiles at Dabolim Airport by next week: Transport MinTeam HeraldPANJIM: Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Saturday reiterated that app-based taxi service by GoaMiles will start at the Dabolim Airport from next week. Godinho said that the decision on bringing in Ola and Uber app taxis will be taken later and claimed that the decision to start app-based cab aggregator services is as per the directions of the High Court of Bombay at Goa. He also said that Department of Tourism has signed a 25-year contract with the GoaMiles and it has to be honoured. Further, the Minister informed that he has given open offer to airport taxi operators i.e United Taximen Union to join the GoaMiles App. He also mentioned that the Mopa International Airport built by the GMR is a private airport and they will take a call whether to start Ola and Uber app taxi services or not.
