Herald: After monsoon-deficit June, State records 9.8% excess rains on Friday


Heavy rainfall is forecast in some isolated places for the next 24 hours. As per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the State has so far recorded 1271.6 mm (50.06inches) of rainfall as against the normal average of 1158.4mm. After monsoon-deficit June, almost 9.8 per cent excess rains State has got today. In the last 24 hours ending 8.30 am of Friday, State recorded 79.6 mm rains. The heavy rains have caused flooding in various parts of Goa, including Panjim.
