HerStory Foundation live-streaming stories for children


Live reading of HerStory FoundationAmidst the coronavirus pandemic, HerStory Foundation has found an innovative way to engage children so that they can spend their time in joy while learning important life-skillsAcross the country, parents are settling into the idea that the current coronavirus pandemic will now mean that children will have to adapt to the sudden change in routine, alongside their school closures. In light of these events, HerStory Foundation has launched a weekly plan to live-stream read-alouds from their children’s book HerStories: Adventures of Supergirls. The series of illustrated children’s book features 42 women trailblazers from present-day Bengal and Bangladesh in unconventional roles. Every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm, HerStory Fellows will go live from the HerStory Facebook page to read out a story and have a chat. HerStory Foundation is a not-for-profit that creates innovative content for development, with a focus on gender equality, youth empowerment and women’s rights.
