Artist Lisa Reihana was recently nominated in the arts and entertainment category of the inaugural Matariki Awards. Her favourite part about west Auckland is its vibrant art scene and how it is quickly gaining a reputation as a haven for artists. "There is a little bit of west Auckland in all my art." She says it was during her days at Lynfield College that she started recognising that west Auckland was a true place of beauty.
