Reigning Manawatū superstock champion Wayne Hemi appeared headed for a run off for the 2019 title. But a last-corner intervention from Kerry Podjursky handed a second consecutive title to Hemi at the Robertson Holden Speedway on Saturday night. Five points behind Hemi, Scott Joblin was headed for victory in the final heat and, with Hemi back in sixth place going into the final corner, a runoff between the pair looked a certainty.
