NewsChairman of People’s Bank, Hemasiri Fernando, has been appointed as the President's Chief of Staff . According to a statement issued by the President’s Media Division, Mr Fernando received his letter of appointment from President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat, today (Sept 03). Mr. Fernando was the Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka and was the Secretary to the Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike, Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd, Secretary to the Ministry of Posts and Chairman Airport and Aviation Authority. Mr. Hemasiri Fernando was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo.
