In just a month of its launching, Hello CT mobile phone application of the counter terrorism unit has generated almost three thousand militancy and terrorism related information, not just in Bangla but in Arabic, English and other languages too. The Hello CT app is a media for commoners to share crimes or terrorism related information, photos and videos with police, especially the counter terrorism unit. So far, as many as 703 pieces of information came on terrorism, 783 on bomb, explosives and narcotics, 638 on cyber crime and 610 on transnational crimes, according to sources at the counter terrorism unit. They said they were verifying the information before making any moves. That is why they were verifying the pieces information very carefully.
