Three people have been killed when an Ethiopian military helicopter crashed in Sudan, the United Nations says. The helicopter was on a "routine operation carrying Ethiopian troops on rotation" on Saturday when it crashed, landing inside the compound of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA). Ethiopia has around 4,500 personnel on the ground to support UNISFA's efforts of ensuring peace and security in Abyei. Sudan and South Sudan both claim ownership of the Abyei area.
