MEXICO CITY—A military helicopter carrying Mexico’s interior minister and the Oaxaca state governor on a trip to inspect earthquake damage crashed on landing in southern Mexico, killing 13 people on the ground and injuring 15 others. Interior Minister Alfonso Navarrete and Oaxaca Gov. Alejandro Murat were on the flight late Friday to evaluate damage from the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Oaxaca in the afternoon. They were not seriously injured.
