Hedge-fund billionaire Larry Robbins earned renown with successful bets on President Obama’s health-care overhaul. Those wagers cost him in 2018. The largest fund run by Mr. Robbins’ Glenview Capital Management, LLC lost about 16.2% in 2018, according to a person familiar with the matter. The bulk of the decline came in December when the fund dropped about 14% due largely to losses in the firm’s health-care portfolio, the person said.
