Kwankwaso, who is the immediate past governor of the state, has been contemplating the visit, ostensibly to test his strength and relevance in the emerging national political scheme of things. Buhari had during his visit to Kano boasted that he commands the respect and acceptability of the majority of voters. Senator Kwankwaso, sources said, wants to prove to the president that he was responsible for the large vote tally he received in Kano in 2015. Could it be that Kwankwaso’s Senate seat has been traded off already?
