There was hardly any residential colony on both sides of Vayalur road except a few villages until early 1980s. Vayalur road is struggling to cope with prolific growth of vehicle population. “It is irritating to travel on Vayalur road due to heavy traffic and slow movement of vehicles. Encroachment of pavements, parking of two-wheelers and four-wheelers in front of the commercial establishments had worsened the traffic snarls on Vayalur road. Besides removing encroachments, Vayalur road should be widened on a priority basis immediately.
