Unstable weather is predicted this week starting Tuesday, to reach its maximum on Thursday and Friday, according to Ahmed Abdel Aal, head of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA). In a statement, Abdel Aal said low- and medium-level clouds will be seen on most of the country, to be accompanied by heavy rains and thunder on northern coasts along the Mediterranean, as well as the Delta, Cairo and Sinai. Slight rains are expected to shower the governorates of Upper Egypt. Abdel Aal said the warning was made to guarantee readiness and precautionary measures in areas expected to be affected by bad weather. He urged all governorates to take the necessary measures to limit the negative impacts of the heavy rains.
