Heavy rains lashed several parts of Mumbai and its adjoining areas - Thane and Vasai-Virar belt today. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the next 48 hours in Mumbai and adjoining areas. It has been raining in Mumbai for the past few hours. Due to heavy rainfall, waterlogging was reported in many areas of Thane, Vasai-Virar and also at Kalwa and Mumbra stations.
