NewsThe low pressure system that is presently situated in the Bay of Bengal has resulted in significant rains falling on the Northern Province after a period of six months. However, the rains have been several weeks late this year. Normally, heavy rains start to fall in the province during the first week of October. Farmers are also fearful that the rains may not be enough this year. They are hoping for more rains to fill up the tanks in the area for them to continue their work as usual.
