Heavy rain forecast for Offaly region over 24-hour periodMet Éireann has issued a rain warning for this evening for Offaly, and a number of other counties. The Yellow warning is for persistent and sometimes heavy rain which may lead to localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions. The warning comes into effect at 6pm on Thursday and expires on 6pm on Friday. It applies to counties Offaly, Laois, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford
