The Met Office is predicting yet more torrential rain for a number of regions as the damp start to July continues today. The worst affected areas are expected to be in the south and east with Scotland seeing heavy showers in most places. And the rainfall will continue into Friday which is expected to see scattered, heavy showers developing all across the country. While the rain batters Bris this week some forecasters have predicted a balmy July is just around the corner with reports of a seven-day heatwave set to descend on the country. This in turn in leading to showers developing, mainly in the south and east, with a risk of a few thunderstorms for eastern England.
