Scorching days are ahead, the Met office warned on Sunday. On Sunday, the Met office issued a warning for hot and humid weather in south Bengal. In Calcutta, the day temperature is likely to touch 37° Celsius by the middle of this week, said a Met official. Dry weather is likely in the rest of the districts of south Bengal, the Met bulletin said. The Met office had issued an enhanced thunderstorm alert for Bengal from April 5 to 9.
