After the devastating impact, Storm Babet left on a much-loved space in the community, Wickes has contributed over £1,500 worth of essential building materials to contribute to the rebuild of Soak Lifestyle. Soak Lifestyle, a hut for the Torree Abby beach community, faced a significant setback when the storm caused severe damage to their containers, meaning they needed to completely rebuild. Recognising the importance Soak have on their community and the vital role that they play in Torquay, Wickes extended their support through its Wickes Community Programme. Witnessing the local community rally to support the rebuilding efforts after Storm Babet was truly inspiring. So it was an honour to stand alongside the rest of the community to provide over £1,500 worth of essential materials through our Wickes Community Programme.”The Wickes Community Programme is open to all local community groups seeking help for improvement projects.
