Sharks came into the game strongly and reduced the deficit through in form George Amonu. Skipper Fatawu Mohammed netted Hearts of Oak third goal with a superb strike. Sharks threatened the Phobians penalty area during the later stages of the game but they were held at bay with the match ending 3-1.
