She worked in the endoscopy department at the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for seven years. Former colleagues have voiced their shock at her death, and are raising money to support her son Aidan. Friend Shameer Mehta wrote: "The world is now a bit darker without Fatima’s smile. Jade O'Connell wrote: "Fatima was such a positive, happy and uplifting person. "I will always remember Fatima for her beaming smile and ability to light up a room with her infectious enthusiasm."
