Nurse Jodie Murphy with her one-year-old daughter, Alexandra, on picket line duty at Cork University Hospital on the second day of the nurses’ strike. The latest disruption follows cancellation of outpatient appointments, non-urgent surgery, and respite, rehabilitation, and day centre services, affecting 50,000 patients in the past week.
