Ambassadors of countries including the United States, China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, and India were present at the meeting and described the current status of the coronavirus outbreak in their respective countries. Director General Prof Abul Kalam Azad of the Directorate General of Health Services was also present at the meeting held at the minister's residence on Tuesday, reports UNB. The minister also described the overall status of the coronavirus infection in Bangladesh and its joint effort with other countries in the commercial sector. During the meeting, the US ambassador assured the minister of providing financial aid within two days for taking necessary measures to prevent further spread of the virus.
