Founded in 2005 by Nick Higginson, Phoenix has seen strong growth in the construction sector. It said that given the rising demand in the construction sector across UAE and after the success of their its expansion into South Africa in 2008, the Middle East is “the natural next step.”Higginson said: “We see our launch in the Middle East and North Africa region as a significant opportunity to provide IOSH and NEBOSH training to a wide range of new businesses, especially in the construction and oil and gas sectors. Tony Stott, CEO at Venture Capital firm Midven, who invested in Phoenix in 2011, said: “Phoenix has been one of our top-performing portfolio companies during the pandemic. We’re delighted to welcome the new management team members and look forward to supporting Phoenix as they continue their international ambitions.”
