Most everyday headphones may expose users to cancer‑linked chemicals, European researchers warn. BPA is a chemical identified as a hormone disruptor that poses cancer and other serious health risks. Karolína Brabcová, a chemical expert on the project, said the chemicals may be leaching from the headphones into the body through sweat and heat. Even at legal levels, chemicals from multiple sources can combine in the body, and their combined effects could increase the risk of cancer and infertility.
