more-inThe Gautam Budh Nagar Police have arrested the head of Hindu Gau Raksha Dal for allegedly forcing meat shops to shut down during Navratri in Greater Noida on Saturday. The accused, Ved Nagar, along with his associates, had forced several meat shops across Greater Noida to shut down over the last one week. “We received information that Nagar, along with few supporters, tried to shut down meat shops on Saturday. The outfit claimed it had earlier petitioned the district administration and Badalpur police station to stop meat sales during Navratri. After that, fearing vandalism, more sellers decided to shut their shops voluntarily.
