He wouldn't let them search his car but they got him, his coke, gun and 79 rounds of ammo anyway, police say

A traffic stop led to a huge haul in the Poconos, police say, and an arrest four days later. The case started Saturday when an officer on patrol “saw a gray Dodge Charger with no legible registration on the vehicle.”The officer conducted a traffic stop and started talking to the driver, Anthony Canale, Jr., about the equipment violationbut “had reasonable suspicion to believe there were narcotics and a firearm in the vehicle and that the operator was not legally allowed to carry.”No specifics on that were given, but police said the officer asked for consent to search the car, and Canale said no. The officer couldn’t search but asked for a drug-sniffing K9 and that four-legged officer at the scene “positively alerted on the vehicle for narcotics.”The car was towed, a search warrant was executed, and police said they “recovered a 9MM Sig Sauer P365 which was reported stolen out of Greenville, S.C., with a 16-round magazine, handgun holster, and 79 rounds of ammunition. “Also recovered from the vehicle were two small Ziplock bags containing cocaine, a package containing marijuana, and narcotic paraphernalia.”Soon, charges were filed, and an arrest warrant was issued. Pennsylvania State Police arrested the 28-year-old at his home on Wednesday.
