He started in late 2015 and finished in February, taking an eastern route from South Africa to Egypt. Early in his journey Mario Rigby was crossing sand dunes along the Wild Coast in South Africa. During the 20-hour-plus flight from Toronto to Amsterdam and finally Cape Town, Rigby was feeling extremely nervous about what he was getting into, he admits.
