Hazara community’s Quetta sit-in enters second dayDespite numerous rounds of talks with provincial government officials, the protesters have refused to end their sit-in until they get a guarantee from the federal government that terrorist attacks won’t be repeated against Hazara community. “We are forced to live in barricaded areas of Hazara Town and Marriabad because our right to life has been snatched from us. Repeating calls for the prime minister to visit the community, she cited the example of a New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. “Ironically, despite living in a Muslim state, our prime minister is not able to come here and heal the wounds of the Hazara community. “Attacks against the Hazara community is giving the message to the world that Pakistan is not a safe place for minorities,” they said.
