Hawaiian officials were reportedly telling residents to prepare for a nuclear attack by North Korea, but they were doing so delicately so they don't cause a panic. The Washington Post reported that Hawaii officials were working to educate and prepare residents amid the growing tension between Washington and Pyongyang. The public was being told to consider prepare for a nuclear attack in a similar way that it prepares for tsunamis. Such a test would be considered a major provocation by the U.S., South Korea and Japan. South Korean media called it the first such direct address to the world by Kim.
