This giant ball is what Taipei City hopes will become the Taipei Performing Arts Center. Construction on the ball, located in Shilin, began in 2012 with an original deadline of 2015 for test operations. Taipei councilors on Tuesday went to inspect the site, asking questions like, "When will it be complete?" "What's the current budget for the ball?" and "What's the status of the search for a new contractor?"
