Cambridge Community Board chairwoman Sue Milner has defended community boards after a proposal to dump them failed to gain support among district councillors. Tom Lee/Stuff Councillor Marcus Gower said community committees, like the one in Pirongia, could be more effective than the current community board system. “Do you even know what community boards do and who the members of the boards are?
