Haryana school boards: Teachers’ shortage, no-detention policy to blame for poor results


An acute shortage of teachers, their uneven distribution and no-detention policy are the main reasons behind the worsening academic results in Haryana schools. He also cited the no-detention policy as one of the reasons responsible for poor results. Haryana schools lecturers’ association president Dayanand Dalal argued that though unlike Class 10, the Class 12 results had shown some improvement, the serious shortage of teachers and no-detention policy were main reasons behind the poor results.
