Harun Al Rashid, special correspondent of Dainik Bangla, and Nafiza Doula, special correspondent of Independent Television, have been elected president and general secretary of the Bangladesh Parliament Journalist Association. The election of the BPJA executive committee for the next two years was held in the capital Friday. The other executive committee members are Mashiur Rahman Khan of the daily Samakal (vice-president), Kazi Sajidul Haque of bdnews24.com (joint secretary), Sirajuzzaman of Jagonews24.com (finance secretary) and Jasmine Molly of the daily Banikbarta (office secretary). The newly elected executive committee members are UNB’s Muhammad Syfullah, Bangla Tribune’s Imran Hossain Sheikh, Azmal Hoque Helal of sarabangla.net, Samsuddin Ahmed of the daily Ittefaq, and Mizan Rahman of Pratidiner Sangbad. Md Tariq Mahmud, director (public relations) of the parliament secretariat, announced the election results.
