“We probably didn’t play up to the standards we set for ourselves throughout the year, but after a tough week, I suppose it was to be expected. We won the county final on Monday and that was after a replay the week before so, we’ve been on the road the last three weeks. You could probably see that there in the lads, especially in the first half, but our bench made a huge difference,” he said. "We’ve been on a run before, in senior, through Leinster, and it’s a pretty huge boost for fans and for the club, everyone involved. Another two-hour journey down after the week we’ve had, it can be tough.
