You don't want to be Harrison Ford today, but if you are a pilot, thank God it's him and not you making aviation news this week. Ford was surprised, reportedly asking the control tower, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?" In 2015, Ford crash-landed on a golf course shortly after taking off from Santa Monica Airport. He had a training accident in a helicopter in 1999 and a bad landing in a Cessna in 2000. Though, a pilot with whom I am acquainted who flies a similar airplane disputes that as a likely possibility.
