US actor Harrison Ford has been involved in a near-miss while flying his plane in California, US media say. They say Ford, aged 74, was instructed to land on a runway at John Wayne airport in Orange Country on Monday. But it declined to confirm that the pilot was in fact Harrison Ford. In 1999, Ford crash-landed his helicopter during a training flight in Los Angeles but both he and the instructor were unhurt. Ford took up flying when he was in his 50s and owns several aircraft.
