Toronto police tweeted shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday that glass had fallen from a building in the York St. area near Harbour St. and the Gardiner Expressway. Police closed off the area because another piece of glass was still hanging. A day after a large plate of glass fell from a highrise building downtown, Harbour St. remains closed due to the danger of repairing the broken window. David Hopkinson said Wednesday that Harbour St. remained closed because the issue still had not been fixed. In another season, it would be simple to repair the glass, he said, but the weather has caused a delay.
