VincentNew Delhi: Several woman students of JNU's School of Life Sciences on Thursday levelled sexual harassment charges against a professor, days after another student disappeared briefly after writing an open letter to him. On Monday, when her brother visited JNU, he was told her room was locked, following which an FIR was registered. At 1am on Sunday, the student had written an email to the professor, her supervisor, with copies to several classmates. PTI quoted the professor as saying he was being targeted for opposing the students' agitation against the new attendance rules. Around 50 students of the School of Life Sciences spoke to reporters on Thursday and issued a statement accusing the professor of sexual harassment.
