Thus, they asked the DCP to install traffic signals at three crossings — CR Park’s block 10-SDMC primary school in DDA Flats, Kalkaji; and DDA Flats Kalkaji’s central market and main bus stand. They discussed problems that are being faced by those living in the locality and adjoining areas such as DDA Flats, Kalkaji and Alaknanda. “Shopkeepers of neighbouring Govindpuri Extension park vehicles near the SDMC school and unload goods. “But, the available parking space here is limited and mostly occupied by shopkeepers. Come festival season, commuting here becomes a nightmare as people park their vehicles in the internal lanes,” said Manjula Sengupta, a CR Park resident.
