Earlier, several sites in Hanoi had already offered free entry for three days, from the 29th day of the last lunar month to the second day of 2026 Tet, including some relics in the Old Quarter, the Huong Son Scenic Complex (Huong Pagoda), while the Hanoi Museum has offered free admission for one month. According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, during the five-day Lunar New Year holiday of 2026, the capital is estimated to have welcomed more than 593,000 visitors, up 11.7 percent year-on-year. International arrivals surged by more than 51 percent to 111,000, while total tourism revenue was estimated at VND2.231 trillion (US$85 million).
