Stocks are climbing in Hong Kong ahead of the midday break. The benchmark Hang Seng Index is at 27,895.22, up by 346.70 points, or 1.26 percent. Alibaba Group (9988) is up by 1.99 percent at HK$225.40. The Hang Seng tech index is at 8,662.80, higher by 261.95 points, or 3.12 percent.
