Hong Kong stocks shot up at midday today. The benchmark Hang Seng Index is at 25,101.56, higher by 324.79 points, or 1.31 percent. Xiaomi (1810) climbed by 3.11 percent at HK$13.26, while Meituan Dianping (3690) dropped by 1.49 percent at HK$152.50. In mainland China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index is at 2,951.70, up by 0.47 percent. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index is at 1,865.41, also up by 0.46 percent.
